惊世骇俗的真实罪案哪能被埋没！新成立而雄心勃勃的序曲影业迅速拍板翻拍。但凡新制片公司总少不了拉拢大牌撑场（序曲影业的另一部未来影片邀来德尼罗和帕西诺再聚首），《我为钱狂》中也来了不少实力派：导演坎莉·库里若干年前一部《末路狂花》得蒙奥斯卡恩赐最佳剧本，对被逼上梁山的女贼心理理当了若指掌；编剧格林·格尔斯近作《破绽》里凑齐安东尼·霍普金斯和瑞恩·高斯林新老两代戏骨，铺陈了一桩勾心斗角的完美罪案。
说来也巧，《我为钱狂》里也聚合了老中青三代女将--《爱是妥协》中惊人一裸的黛安·基顿，《芝加哥》里的胖妈妈奎恩·拉蒂法，还有新任汤嫂凯蒂·霍尔姆斯，其中汤嫂还为本片放弃了加盟《蝙蝠侠：黑暗骑士》。虽是三个温馨派常客，可谢天谢地，影片和爱情家庭小品一点都搭不上边（不是瞎抱怨，看看基顿上一部老中青齐聚的《爱得过火》毁成了什么样）！三个弱女人一台大盗戏，有得看头！
